These terms apply to any work booked with AJ Property Maintenance (Bridlington, UK), whether arranged by phone, email, or through this website. By booking a job, you agree to these terms.

Website use

This website is provided for information about AJ Property Maintenance's services and to help you request a quote. Its content, including text, photos, and layout, belongs to AJ Property Maintenance and should not be copied or reused without permission. The website is provided as-is, and while reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and up to date, no guarantee is given that it is always error-free.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes are given after a phone description of the job or, for larger jobs, an on-site look at the work involved. A quote is valid for 30 days from the date given. If the scope of a job changes once work has started, for example a repair turning out to need more material or time than a visual assessment showed, this is agreed with you before extra work goes ahead and before any extra cost is added.

Booking and cancellation

A job is booked once a quote is accepted and a date agreed. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours' notice where possible. There is no charge for cancelling with reasonable notice. A missed appointment with no notice given may be charged for the time set aside if it could not be filled with other work.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing, by cash, bank transfer, or another method agreed at the time of quoting. Materials are charged at cost, and a receipt is provided on request. For larger jobs spanning several days, payment in stages may be agreed in advance.

Guarantees

Workmanship on repairs, painting, and other work carried out is guaranteed for 12 months from completion against faults in how the work itself was done. This does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by others, or the effects of weather exposure that were explained to you at the time of quoting. Where materials come with their own manufacturer's guarantee, that guarantee applies alongside this one.

Liability

Reasonable care is taken to protect your property while work is carried out. Liability for loss or damage arising from the work is limited to the value of the job in question, except where the law does not allow such a limit, for example in the case of death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
